Passenger Information
Travel Documents
- A valid passport with at least six months’ validity from the travel date.
- A travel ticket issued by MENA LINE for the Safaga–NEOM route, or one of its authorized agents (if applicable).
- A valid visa and any required security clearance for restricted nationalities, issued by the relevant Saudi authorities or embassy.
- A travel permit from/to the guardian for travelers under 18 years old, issued by the competent security authority if the minor is not accompanied.
- Required military service documents for travellers subject to Egyptian military service regulations (such as postponement or exemption documents).
- A valid work permit for Egyptian nationals if required, issued at least three days prior to travel.
- If the traveler holds multiple nationalities or passports, the same passport used upon entry into Saudi Arabia must be used for departure from Egypt.
- Any additional documents, health requirements, or special approvals mandated during specific periods or under special circumstances.
Essential Travel Regulations
- The personal ticket cannot be assigned to others, and in case of data discrepancy, the ticket is considered void, and the ticket is considered invalid in case of losing any coupon or the existence of any scratching or any alteration to its data, and the passenger is not entitled to claim any compensation in this case. This ticket is nominal and personal, non-transferable, and void if lost, defaced, altered, or if its data differs from the Carrier's records.
- The holder of a return ticket must adhere to the specified return date on the ticket or the ticket's expiry date in case of an open return ticket.
- Full ticket is for ages 12 years and above, and half ticket for ages less than 12 years.
- Each passenger is allowed to carry 80 kg free of charge, and any excess shall be subject to additional fees, even if carried on the passenger's car roof.
- The passenger is allowed to board the ferry with their personal belongings only (travel documents - necessary medications), and nothing else is allowed; all passenger baggage, whatsoever, must be placed in cargo vehicles.
- Passengers must review all instructions, guidelines, and data printed on the Ticket. The Passenger is obligated to comply with all safety instructions and regulatory guidelines during the conveyance process. Furthermore, the issuance of the Ticket shall be deemed as the Passenger’s acceptance of all the terms and conditions contained therein.
- The passenger must be present at the port of departure 6 hours prior to the scheduled time.
- Passengers must adhere to the booking and mobilization system outside the port and the assembly system inside the port, ensuring the availability and validity of documents before travel.
- The Carrier Company is not responsible for the return of the passenger if the destination country's authorities refuse their entry, and in case of deportation, the passenger shall bear the full cost of their return.
- It is prohibited to possess, carry, or transport drugs and narcotic pills of all types, or any prohibited items whatsoever prohibited by the Egyptian or Saudi authorities.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited for passengers in any unauthorized areas or facilities within the ferry/vessel.
- Should any passenger be caught violating this prohibition, they shall be obligated to immediately pay a fine amounting to (3,500 Egyptian Pounds), without prejudice to the transporting company's right to take the prescribed legal actions in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, including referring the violator for legal accountability when necessary.
Onboard & Operational Guidelines
- It is not allowed to bring any food items with the passenger during the trip; food and light beverages can be obtained from the ferry's cafeteria at reasonable prices.
- No payments shall be made inside or outside the ferry without an official receipt.
- The travel ticket validity expires upon the end of the specified travel time. The Carrier is not responsible for the passenger's failure to arrive at the specified time, except in the case of cancellation or delay of the trip by a decision from the Carrier or the competent authorities.
- In the event that the Passenger causes damage to any movable property on the Vessel, or causes any damage whatsoever due to error, negligence, or non-compliance with the requisite instructions, the Passenger shall be obligated to pay full and complete compensation for such damages.
Prohibited Hazardous Materials
- For safety purposes, the passenger is prohibited from carrying the following hazardous materials, whether in their baggage or vehicle: Severely chilled compressed gases, flammable, non-flammable, and (such as Butane, Oxygen, Liquid Nitrogen, Propane, and underwater breathing cylinders).
- Corrosive materials (acids, alkalis, liquid cell batteries).
- Agents causing diseases (Bacteria, germs, ... etc.).
- Explosives and weapons, ammunition, fireworks and bright sparks, pistol capsules, rifles, flare pistols and explosives, including empty cartridges.
- Flammable liquids and solids such as lighter fuel or heaters, matchboxes, paints, paint thinners, lighters, and easily flammable materials.
- Radioactive materials, oxidizing materials such as bleaching powder and peroxide.
- Toxic materials such as Arsenic, Cyanide, insecticides, and agricultural spray materials.
- Other hazardous materials such as Mercury, magnetized materials, irritating and noxious substances.
- Any devices or equipment containing mercury not authorized to be carried in bags and baggage.
- Medical materials and cosmetic supplies may be carried in limited quantities that can be necessary or appropriate during the trip.
Carrier Liability Limits
- The Carrier Company undertakes to exercise customary due diligence in the conveyance of passengers and their baggage in accordance with the announced schedules in the Contract of Carriage, and the company is not responsible for any delay or cancellation that occurs to the departure or travel time if it is due to a cause outside the procedures or administration of the company or any foreign cause beyond its control or Force Majeure.
- The Egyptian Maritime Trade Law governs the Carrier Company's liability regarding compensation due to the passenger during and because of the execution of the Contract of Carriage, as well as the international treaties in force to which the Arab Republic of Egypt is a party, and any dispute or disagreement that may arise from the interpretation of the terms of the Contract of Carriage shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Egyptian Courts exclusively.
- In the event that gross negligence by the Carrier Company is proven during the transportation process, resulting directly in bodily harm to any of the passengers, the affected passenger shall be entitled to claim compensation for the damage suffered, provided that the maximum compensation in cases of death does not exceed the amount of (500,000) five hundred thousand Egyptian Pounds, and that the maximum compensation in cases of permanent disability does not exceed the amount of (250,000) two hundred and fifty thousand Egyptian Pounds.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS (T&Cs)
Shipper/Passenger Warranties and Obligations
- Ticket Validity & Personal Nature: This Ticket is nominal and personal, non-transferable. It shall be void if lost, defaced, altered, or if its data differs from the Carrier's records. Its validity expires upon the passing of the scheduled date of travel.
- Vehicle Data Warranty (Shipper): The Shipper warrants the accuracy of all vehicle data (Type, Color, Plate Number, VIN/Chassis Number, Engine Number, Weight, and Declared Value) as stated on the Ticket. The Shipper shall bear all consequences, costs, fines, and delays resulting from any error or omission.
- Shipper Liability for Damages: The Shipper/Passenger shall indemnify the Carrier for damages caused to any chattels on board the vessel or for any other damages whatsoever resulting from the Passenger's/Shipper's fault, negligence, or non-compliance with required instructions.
- Insurance: The Shipper must maintain valid insurance for the vehicle covering maritime risks and third-party liability throughout the entire period of conveyance and handling, thereby discharging the Carrier's liability to the extent paid by the insurer.
- Claim Notification: Any apparent loss or damage must be reported in writing to the Carrier upon receipt and before leaving the port gate. Any concealed damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery; otherwise, delivery shall be presumed complete.
Height & Weight Limits (Vehicles):
- Maximum allowed height for Sedans (Malaqi) is 1.85 meters.
- Maximum allowed height for Vans and SUVs is 2.10 meters.
- Maximum allowed gross weight for both categories is 3 tons.
- These limits include any attachments loaded on the vehicle's roof. Non-compliance will incur additional fees.
- Liability for Contents/Condition: The Carrier is not responsible for any personal effects, cargo, or items inside the car at the time of receipt. The Shipper bears the risks arising from inherent defects, fluid leaks, or electrical/mechanical failures not caused by the Carrier's action.
- Rejection of Entry: The Carrier is not responsible for the return of a Passenger/Shipper whose entry is refused by the authorities of the destination country. The Passenger/Shipper shall bear the full cost of repatriation.
- No Guarantee of Schedule: The Carrier does not guarantee sailing/arrival times, which may change due to operational, weather, or safety considerations without liability.
- Refusal/Inspection Right: The Carrier reserves the right to refuse carriage of any vehicle deemed non-compliant or a hazard , and to inspect the vehicle for compliance with safety regulations.
Operational Instructions & Prohibitions
- Port Presence: The Passenger/Shipper must be present at the port 6 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
- Baggage/Cargo Limits (Passenger): Each Passenger is allowed 80 kg of free baggage. Excess baggage is subject to additional fees. Passengers are only allowed to board the vessel with personal belongings (travel documents, essential medicines). All other baggage must be placed in cargo vehicles.
- Prohibited Items (Food): No food is allowed to be brought aboard by the Passenger. Light meals and drinks are available at the vessel's cafeteria.
- Vehicle Fuel Limit: For safety reasons, the fuel quantity inside the vehicle's tanks on the vessel shall not exceed 15% of the tank's nominal capacity.
Detailed List of Prohibited Hazardous Materials
For safety purposes, the Passenger/Shipper is prohibited from carrying the following hazardous materials in their baggage or vehicle:
- Compressed and Refrigerated Gases Flammable and non-flammable gases (e.g., butane, oxygen, liquid nitrogen, propane, scuba/underwater breathing cylinders).
- Corrosive Materials: Such as acids, alkalis, and liquid cell batteries.
- Explosives and Weapons: Ammunition, fireworks, flare guns, blasting caps, and empty cartridges.
- Flammable Liquids and Solids: Lighter fuel, kerosene heaters, matches, paints, paint thinners, and other easily ignitable materials.
- Infectious/Toxic Materials: Germs, bacteria, arsenic, cyanide, insecticides, and crop dusts.
- Radioactive/Oxidizing Materials: Such as bleaching powder and peroxide.
- Other Hazardous Materials: Mercury, magnetized materials, irritating or noxious substances, and any equipment containing unapproved mercury.
- Exception: Medical and cosmetic supplies may be carried in limited quantities deemed necessary or appropriate for the journey.
- Electric Vehicles (EVs): The shipper bears full and absolute responsibility for ensuring the safety and transport requirements of the electric vehicle, including accurate disclosure of the battery status and specific hazards, and adhering to security standards and safe handling practices. They also commit to compensating the carrier for any damages or losses resulting from an inherent defect in the vehicle, its battery, or its flammable nature, thereby exempting the carrier from the consequences arising from these inherent defects."
Carrier Liability & Jurisdiction
- Carrier Obligation: The Carrier shall exercise customary due diligence in the conveyance of passengers and their baggage and/or the car in accordance with the announced schedules.
- Exemption from Liability: The Carrier shall not be liable for any delay, cancellation, or loss arising wholly or partially from Force Majeure, perils of the sea, acts of authorities, strikes, riots, or sudden malfunctions, provided reasonable diligence is exercised.
- Governing Law: This Contract of Carriage shall be governed by the Egyptian Maritime Trade Law No. 8 of 1990 and the international treaties in force in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
- Jurisdiction: The Egyptian Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the interpretation or execution of this Contract of Carriage.
- Compensation Limit (Bodily Harm): In the event that gross negligence by the Carrier Company is proven during the transportation process, resulting directly in bodily harm to any of the passengers, the affected passenger shall be entitled to claim compensation for the damage suffered, provided that the maximum compensation in cases of death does not exceed the amount of (500,000) five hundred thousand Egyptian Pounds, and that the maximum compensation in cases of permanent disability does not exceed the amount of (250,000) two hundred and fifty thousand Egyptian Pounds.
